So the wife is out with the girls tonight so I figured I’d sit down with a nice glass of port and update my blog a little since, keeping with the trend, it’s been a while. Speaking of Port though that reminds me of our day of drinking at the 30th Annual Playboy Jazz Festival. The Wife, our friends Cyndi and Jeff and of course myself packed up picnic baskets full of lunch for the day and went for the first time. We had a blast and spent very little time sitting in the bleachers where our seats were watching the show. Most of our day was spent on a blanket under trees eating cheese, meats, brie mango cassadillas, chocolate covered strawberries and lots and lots of wine. I recommend it for everyone! The reggae festivals are the only place you might meet a nicer group of pot smoking, drinking, music loving people. The music was great and for my first time at the Hollywood bowl that place is a beautiful venue. Through out the day we meet all kinds of really nice people. There was the lady dresses like an aba zaba (probably the least nice person there but she gets points for looking like a giant candy) There was the man with the freezer bag full of pot who was trying to give it out. There was the hippy protesters who didn’t want to give up their bench (dam the man) and of course I can’t go to L.A. stand in a line with out some friendly gay guy making a move! So if anyone is a fan of jazz and likes to people watch that was a day well spent!
